Cliff Richard Trending in GTA 6: What Streamers Should Know
A 1976 song is trending after GTA 6's Extended Look. The 86-year-old singer has no idea what the game is. Here is what it means for your clips.
Here is why "Devil Woman" by Cliff Richard matters for your clips, what the soundtrack means for your clips, and what to expect when you stream.
Why Cliff Richard is trending
"Devil Woman" is a 1976 single from Cliff Richard's album I'm Nearly Famous. It appeared in the GTA 6 Extended Look on Netflix, according to IGN, and since then the song has seen a 325% increase in daily streams.
Cliff Richard told The Times he did not know what Grand Theft Auto was, despite Rockstar paying to feature the song.
What this means for the GTA 6 soundtrack
"Devil Woman" is one of the older tracks on the GTA 6 soundtrack, alongside contemporary artists like Yung Lean and Travis Scott. Rockstar revealed some of the tracks you will hear while driving around Vice City.
For streamers, this is a reminder that GTA 6 radio will be full of licensed music. That music is owned by labels, not by Rockstar. When a song is in your clip, the label's systems can find it. See GTA 6 Radio Music and Copyright Claims: Keep Your Clips Online for what happens on YouTube and Twitch.
How to plan your clips around radio music
1. Turn the radio down or off for key moments. A chase with engine noise and your voice is still a great clip.
2. Keep Shorts brief when music is in the background. A Short longer than 1 minute with any Content ID claim is blocked worldwide on YouTube. Shorts can be up to 3 minutes long since October 15, 2024, but shorter clips reduce the risk of claims.
3. Talk over the gameplay. Your commentary is what makes a clip yours. It also makes clips more fun to watch.
4. Check before you post. YouTube Studio shows claims after upload. If a Short is claimed, trim the music section or replace it.
Quick checklist
- Plan your best moments without radio music.
- Keep Shorts brief when music is in the background.
- Talk over the gameplay to make the clip yours.
- Check YouTube Studio for claims before you post.
Clips without the music section
When you generate clips in ViceForge AI Gaming mode, you set the maximum clip length in the upload settings. Picking 30 to 60 seconds keeps clips under the one-minute line, and you can edit the start and end of any clip in the editor before downloading.
ViceForge keeps the original audio of your video, including any music that was in it, so copyrighted music in your GTA 6 recording will stay in the clip.
GTA 6 releases November 19, 2026 on PS5 and Xbox Series X|S.
