A clip that opens with the explosion, the kill or the punchline keeps viewers watching. A clip that builds up to it loses them in the first second. AI Hook cuts your best moment first, shows it for up to 5 seconds, then flows into the full moment from the build-up. Viewers stay because they already saw the payoff.

What AI Hook does

Turn on AI Hook in the upload settings. It is off by default. When you turn it on, the AI finds the peak of each moment (the crash, the reaction, the spoken line) and puts it at the start of the clip. Then it transitions into the full moment from the beginning, so the clip still makes sense.

The hook is up to 5 seconds. The AI cuts it by what happens: the whole explosion with its build-up, the streamer's reaction, or a full spoken line, never mid-word. If the AI finds no clear peak, the clip stays a normal clip.

AI Hook works in AI Gaming and AI Creator modes, on uploaded videos and on YouTube links (URL import). It is only on Creator Elite, including Lifetime Elite.

Why it works

Viewers scroll fast. A clip that opens with setup or walking loses them before the action starts. A clip that opens with the action keeps them to see how it happened.

Example: a GTA chase ends in a crash. Without AI Hook, the clip starts with the chase, builds tension, then shows the crash. With AI Hook, the clip opens with the crash, then cuts back to show the chase that led to it. The viewer already knows the crash is coming, so they watch the whole thing.

The same applies to talk clips. A clip that opens with the punchline or the strong statement keeps viewers. A clip that opens with context loses them.

How to turn it on

  1. Upload your video to ViceForge.
  2. Pick your video or paste a YouTube URL.
  3. Choose AI Gaming or AI Creator.
  4. Turn on AI Hook.

After processing, review each clip to see where the AI added a hook.

Hook text and transition card

Hook text: a short line shown on screen over the hook. The AI writes a line about the moment, or "Wait for it..." when it has none. Turn it on with Show hook text in the upload settings. Edit the text in the editor if needed.

"A few moments later" card: a card between the hook and the rest of the clip. By default it is a 2 second black card with the text "A few moments later..." read by a narrator. You can write your own card text (up to 40 characters, for example "Two hours later..."), turn the narrator off, pick a length from 1 to 4 seconds, and choose a black background or a blurred still of the hook's last frame. Turn it on in the hook options at upload or per clip in the editor.

Adjust the hook in the editor

Every clip with a hook has two parts in the editor: the hook and the main part. Each has its own start and end, adjustable in 0.1 second and 1 second steps.

If the hook is too long or too short, drag the end point. If the transition feels off, adjust where the main part starts. The editor keeps your facecam in frame in vertical format and respects the original resolution when you re-edit.

When to use AI Hook

Consider using AI Hook when:

  • The moment has a clear peak and a build-up that adds context.
  • The clip is longer than 10 seconds.

Turn it off when:

  • The moment is already fast: a quick kill with no build-up does not need a hook.
  • The clip is a quote or a statement.

Quick checklist

  • Upload your video to ViceForge.
  • Choose AI Gaming or AI Creator.
  • Turn on AI Hook at the bottom of the settings.
  • Optional: turn on hook text and the transition card.
  • Generate clips.
  • In the editor, adjust the hook timing if needed.
  • Download and post.
